Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said the state government is committed to preserving and promoting the heritage of the Sindhi community. He made the remarks while virtually addressing the bhoomi pujan ceremony of the Sindhu Kala Kendra in Indore from Samatva Bhawan at his official residence in Bhopal.
Yadav said the Sindhi community had faced the difficulties of Partition but retained its cultural values and traditions. He also referred to the historical significance of the Indus Valley Civilisation.
Sindhu Kala Kendra to Showcase Sindhi Heritage
The Chief Minister said the proposed Sindhu Kala Kendra in Indore will have a dedicated building aimed at showcasing the art, culture and heritage of the Sindhi community.

According to Yadav, the centre will help future generations learn about the community’s cultural heritage.
Three Historical Figures Added to School Curriculum
Yadav said the state government has included the biographies of three prominent figures associated with Sindhi history and society in the school curriculum.
They are:
- Raja Dahir, remembered as a historical ruler of Sindh
- Sant Kanwarram, described by the state government as a social reformer and saint
- Shaheed Hemu Kalani, remembered as a freedom fighter
The Chief Minister said the inclusion was part of the government’s commitment to the Sindhi community.
Nitin Nabin to Launch One-Month Campaign in Indore
Yadav also said BJP national president Nitin Nabin would visit Indore on September 17, coinciding with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday.
According to the Chief Minister, Nabin will launch the one-month ‘Seva Se Sankalp’ campaign and the Swamitva Yojana from Indore and participate in other programmes.
Local MP Shankar Lalwani, Ishwar Jhamnani and other public representatives and members of the Sindhi community attended the Sindhu Kala Kendra bhoomi pujan programme.
