Tamil Nadu Transfers 14 IAS Including CM’s Secretary

The Tamil Nadu government ordered a major administrative reshuffle following the changes made in the state cabinet on Thursday. According to an order issued May 13, Secretary Ist to the Chief Minister Mr. T. Udhayachandran was transferred and was posted as Principal Secretary in the Finance Department.

While the Finance Secretary Mr. N. Muruganandam was posted as Secretary I to the Chief Minister. Mr. Udhayachandran was serving as Chief Minister’s Secretary 1 soon after M.K. Stalin took charge in May 2021.

Apart from the two, Gagandeep Singh Bedi has been transferred and posted as Principal Secretary in the Health and Family Welfare Department. He was serving as the Commissioner of Greater Chennai Corporation (GCC). Additional Chief Secretary, Cooperation, Food and Consumer Protection department Mr. J. Radhakrishnan will be the new GCC Commissioner in place of Mr. Bedi.

P. Amudha has been posted as the Principal Secretary of Home, Prohibition and Excise Department. She is the fourth woman to serve in this position. Ms. Amudha was Principal Secretary, Rural Development and Panchayat Raj department earlier.

Principal Secretary of Health and Family Welfare Department Mr. P. Senthilkumar will replace Ms. Amudha as Principal Secretary, Rural Development and Panchayat Raj. Mr. K. Phanindra Reddy was transferred and posted as the Secretary of Transport Department. He was Additional Chief Secretary, Home, Prohibition and Excise Department,

Additional Chief Secretary, Transport Department Mr. K. Gopal will be the new Vigilance Commissioner and Commissioner for Administrative Reforms.

K. Manivasan who was Principal Secretary, Public Works department (PWD), will be the new Principal Secretary, Tourism, Culture, and Religious Endowments Department. While B. Chandra Mohan has been posted as Principal Secretary, PWD.

Secretary, Public and Rehabilitation Department Mr. D. Jagannathan was transferred and posted as Secretary, Cooperation, Food and Consumer Protection Department.

Commissioner of School Education Mr. K. Nanthakumar was transferred and posted as Secretary, Human Resources Management (HRM) department.

Mythili K. Rajendran will now serve as the Commissioner of Indian Medicine and Homeopathy. Whereas Mr. Ganesh was posted as Director of Economics and Statistics.
