As per a circular issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on June 29th, two senior IAS officers were given additional charge as Secretaries in the union.
Mr. Sanjeev Chopra (1990-batch IAS officer), the incumbent Secretary in the Department of Food and Public Distribution, was given additional charge of Secretary in the Department of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare following the repatriation of incumbent Mr. Manoj Ahuja (1990-batch Odisha cadre IAS officer) and till the appointment of a regular incumbent or until further orders, whichever transpires earlier.
Mr. Ajay Kumar Bhalla (1984-batch IAS officer), the incumbent Home Secretary, was given additional charge of Secretary in the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) following the superannuation of Ms. R Radha Chauhan (1988-batch IAS officer) on June 30th and till the appointment of a regular incumbent or until further orders, whichever transpires earlier.
