Lucknow: In yet another significant bureaucratic reshuffle in les than a week, the Yogi Adityanath led Uttar Pradesh government late Tuesday night transferred 14 IAS and 6 PCS officers, including the District Magistrates (DMs) of four key districts – Pilibhit, Ballia, Hardoi, and Maharajganj.
Key IAS Transfers:
2012 batch promotee IAS officer Mangla Prasad Singh, currently DM of Hardoi, has been appointed the new DM of Ballia. This move marks Singh’s return to the Purvanchal region, where he earlier served as DM of Ghazipur and held several key positions in Varanasi.
2012 batch IAS officer Praveen Kumar Laxkar, outgoing DM of Ballia, has been posted as Joint Managing Director, Uttar Pradesh Jal Nigam (Urban).
2015 batch IAS officer Anunay Jha, DM of Maharajganj, will take over as DM of Hardoi.
2014 batch promotee IAS officer Santosh Kumar Sharma, who served as CEO of Ayodhya Teerth Vikas Parishad and Municipal Commissioner of Ayodhya, will now serve as the new DM of Maharajganj.
2014 batch promotee IAS officer Gyanendra Singh, until now Joint MD of UP Jal Nigam (Urban), has been appointed DM of Pilibhit.
2012 batch promotee IAS officere Sanjay Kumar Singh, outgoing DM of Pilibhit, has been made Special Secretary, Culture Department and Director of Religious Affairs.
Other Senior Transfers:
- The responsibilities of Additional Chief Secretary Deepak Kumar have been expanded. He has now been given additional charge as the Agriculture Production Commissioner, a role previously held by Chief Secretary Manoj Singh.
- Jayendra Kumar, Chief Development Officer (CDO) of Siddharthnagar, will assume dual responsibilities as CEO of Ayodhya Teerth Vikas Parishad and Municipal Commissioner of Ayodhya.
- Mrinali Avinash Joshi, Joint Magistrate of Gorakhpur, will replace Jayendra Kumar as CDO of Siddharthnagar.
- Apoorva Dubey, Vice-Chairperson of Aligarh Development Authority, has been appointed Director of SUDA (State Urban Development Agency).
- Kuldeep Meena, CDO of Bulandshahr, will replace Dubey in Aligarh.
- Nisha, Joint Magistrate of Mathura, becomes the new CDO of Bulandshahr.
- Prerna Sharma, outgoing Director of SUDA, has been posted as Special Secretary in the Horticulture and Food Processing Department.
- Ravindra Kumar-1, Special Secretary of Culture and Director of Religious Affairs, will now serve as Special Secretary for Agriculture, Agri-Marketing, Foreign Trade, and Agri-Education and Research.
PCS-Level Transfers:
- Prakash Chandra, ADM Protocol & Law and Order in Varanasi, has been moved to ADM Judicial, Hathras.
- Shiv Narayan, ADM Judicial, Hathras, will now serve as ADM Judicial, Baghpat.
- Vineet Kumar Singh, ADM Finance & Revenue, Gorakhpur, has been transferred to ADM City, Ghaziabad.
- Himanshu Verma, City Magistrate, Gorakhpur, has been promoted to ADM Finance & Revenue, Gorakhpur.
- Utkarsh Srivastava, SDM Sant Kabir Nagar, has been posted as City Magistrate, Gorakhpur.
- Alankar Agnihotri, Assistant Municipal Commissioner, Lucknow, will now serve as City Magistrate, Bareilly.
This large-scale reshuffle is being seen as a move to streamline administrative functioning across the state ahead of key development initiatives and upcoming projects.
