Lucknow — Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath reaffirmed his commitment to judicial reform and good governance during the 42nd Annual Conference of the Uttar Pradesh Judicial Services Association, emphasizing that justice must be both accessible and swift for every citizen to ensure true governance.
Addressing judicial officers and legal professionals in attendance, CM Yogi praised the state’s legal system and its pivotal role in building a just society. He highlighted the significance of the Allahabad High Court, describing it as the largest high court in the country in terms of both sanctioned and working judges.
“In its 102-year history, the Uttar Pradesh Judicial Service Association has achieved many milestones. The judicial officers present here reflect unity, mutual cooperation, and professional efficiency,” he said.
₹50 Crore Corpus Fund Announced
To further strengthen the judiciary, Chief Minister Adityanath announced a ₹50 crore corpus fund for the Uttar Pradesh Judicial Services Association, aimed at supporting judicial infrastructure, training, and welfare measures.
A Call for Holistic Development
Linking local efforts to national goals, CM Yogi underlined Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of a ‘Viksit Bharat’ (Developed India) and reiterated that every region’s development—whether a district or a state—contributes directly to the progress of the nation.
“If we work in a district, we build a developed district. A developed district leads to a developed Uttar Pradesh. And a developed Uttar Pradesh contributes to a developed India,” he added.
Remembering Kalyan Singh’s Legacy
Earlier, the Chief Minister paid tribute to former CM Kalyan Singh on his death anniversary during the third edition of ‘Hindu Gaurav Diwas’, honoring his contributions as a leader who balanced heritage and development.
“As Health Minister in 1977 and later as Chief Minister in 1990, Babuji [Kalyan Singh] showed that strong governance and rule of law could go hand in hand,” said Adityanath.
The conference emphasized the interconnectedness of judicial efficiency, law and order, and nation-building, with CM Yogi asserting that good governance cannot exist without an effective and people-centered justice system.
