The Uttar Pradesh government has announced a fresh round of transfers and postings involving five senior IPS officers, marking notable changes in key police positions across the state.

In the most significant update, SB Shiradkar (1993 batch), who was heading the Lucknow Zone as DGP/ADGP, has been reassigned as Director General of the Police Promotion and Recruitment Board in Lucknow. Taking over his previous role is Sujeet Pandey (1994 batch), who moves from his post as ADGP at the PAC Headquarters.

Meanwhile, RK Swarnkar (1996 batch), currently posted as ADGP at the APTC in Sitapur, has been shifted to take charge of the PAC Headquarters, succeeding Sujeet Pandey.

At the district level, Ashish Tiwari (2012 batch), who was serving as SP, CID in Lucknow, has now been appointed as Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) in Saharanpur. He replaces Rohit Singh Sajwan (2013 batch), who has been relieved from his post and attached to the office of the Director General of Police.

These reshuffles are seen as part of the state’s ongoing efforts to enhance administrative efficiency and streamline law enforcement operations.
