Lucknow: The Uttar Pradesh government has accelerated the process of providing compensation to farmers affected by recent adverse weather conditions, including storms, fire incidents, hailstorms and excessive rainfall.
Several parts of the state have been witnessing intermittent rainfall since Wednesday, leading to significant damage to crops and other agricultural losses.
CM Yogi Adityanath Issues Strict Instructions to Officials
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has directed officials to ensure timely relief for affected people, including farmers impacted by natural disasters.
According to the government statement, instructions have been issued to provide compensation for cases involving:
- Loss of human life
- Damage to livestock
- Injuries to individuals
- Agricultural and other disaster-related losses
The Chief Minister has clearly stated that any negligence in the compensation process will not be tolerated at any level.

Government Stands with Farmers in Crisis: CM Yogi
CM Yogi Adityanath said that unseasonal rainfall has caused significant distress to farmers, and assured that the government stands firmly with them as a support system.
He directed officials to immediately assess crop damage and ensure that compensation is disbursed in a time-bound manner without delays.
Officials Put on Alert Mode for Rapid Assessment and Relief
The Chief Minister has instructed all concerned departments to remain on high alert and expedite damage assessment across affected districts.
Authorities have been asked to:
- Conduct rapid field surveys of crop losses
- Ensure prompt reporting of damages
- Speed up the compensation distribution process
- Maintain strict monitoring to avoid delays
Focus on Timely Relief and Accountability
The state government reiterated that providing quick relief to affected farmers and disaster victims is a top priority.
CM Yogi emphasized that strict accountability will be enforced to ensure that no affected individual is left without support during this period of adverse weather conditions.
