Transparent Recruitment System Highlighted

Yogi Adityanath said that in the last nine years, more than 2.20 lakh police personnel have been recruited in a fair and transparent manner.

He emphasized that earlier recruitment processes were affected by nepotism and corruption, but now selections are based purely on merit, capability, and reservation rules, without any recommendations or bribes.

Expansion of Police Training Capacity

The Chief Minister highlighted a major transformation in police training infrastructure:

  • Before 2017, capacity was only 3,000 personnel at a time
  • In FY 2025 alone, 60,244 constables were trained in Uttar Pradesh
  • Training is now conducted entirely within the state

He said this reflects strong governance and effective policy execution.

Infrastructure and Modernisation of Police Force

Yogi Adityanath also detailed major improvements in police infrastructure, including:

  • Construction of modern high-rise barracks
  • Development of model police stations
  • Establishment of new fire stations
  • Formation of Special Security Force (SSF)
  • Formation of SDRF units
  • Creation of three women police battalions

He said these reforms have significantly strengthened law enforcement capacity across the state.

Law and Order Driving Economic Growth

The Chief Minister stressed that rule of law is essential for development and investment.

He said that improved law and order has helped Uttar Pradesh become a more attractive destination for investors, contributing to economic growth and job creation.

He also underlined the importance of police personnel maintaining physical fitness to ensure mental strength and efficiency in duty.

Merit-Based Governance and Youth Empowerment

Yogi Adityanath said that every capable and qualified youth in the state should get equal opportunity to join the police force.

He added that governance in Uttar Pradesh now ensures:

  • No recommendation-based recruitment
  • No corruption or favoritism
  • Equal opportunity for all eligible candidates

He urged the newly appointed personnel to serve with honesty and dedication.

Finance Minister Emphasises Duty and Integrity

Uttar Pradesh Finance Minister Suresh Khanna also addressed the event, highlighting the importance of discipline and integrity in public service.

He said that while income is necessary, honest earnings bring respect and satisfaction, and urged recruits to perform their duties sincerely and responsibly.

CM Reviews Nine Years of Transformation

Yogi Adityanath said that Uttar Pradesh has undergone a major transformation in the past nine years, particularly in governance, law enforcement, and recruitment systems.

He reiterated that earlier systems were affected by delays, inefficiency, and corruption, whereas today the process is transparent, structured, and merit-driven.

About Uttar Pradesh Police Reform Drive
