UPSC Declares IFS-2024 Results, Jharkhand’s Kanika Anabh Tops, 143 Candidates Recommended – Check List Here

On 22nd April, the UPSC declared the results of the UPSC Civil Services Examination (CSE) 2024, the prestigious exam in the country. A total of 1,009 candidates have been recommended for appointment through the examination.

New Delhi: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has declared the final results of the Indian Forest Service (IFS) Examination – 2024, marking the successful culmination of a rigorous selection process that included a written examination held from November 24 to December 1, 2024, followed by personality interviews from April 21 to May 2, 2025.

Candidates who appeared in the examination can check the result on the official website at upsc.gov.in or can check their roll number in below PDF.

Kanika Anabh Secures All India Rank 1

Topping the prestigious list is Kanika Anabh from Jharkhand, who has been awarded All India Rank 1. She is followed by Anand Anilkumar Khandelwal at Rank 2, and Anubhav Singh, who secured Rank 3. Their exceptional performance reflects not only academic excellence but also a deep commitment to serving the environment and the nation.

Category-Wise Selection Details

A total of 143 candidates have been recommended for appointment to the Indian Forest Service under various categories. The break-up of selected candidates is as follows:

  • General: 40 (including 02 candidates from PwBD-2 and 02 from PwBD-3 categories)
  • Economically Weaker Section (EWS): 19
  • Other Backward Classes (OBC): 50
  • Scheduled Castes (SC): 23
  • Scheduled Tribes (ST): 11

Notably, 02 vacancies in the PwBD-1 category remain unfilled due to non-availability of eligible candidates, and have been carried forward to the next recruitment cycle.

Additionally, the result of 07 candidates has been withheld for administrative or eligibility-related reasons.

To check the results of IFS-2022 Exam on UPSC Website, candidates can follow the steps given below –

  • -First of all, go to the official website – upsc.gov.in., Then click on the ‘Final Result’ segment
  • -After that, click on the Examination Final Results and download a PDF file for IFS Result
  • -After that, search your roll number in it
  • -If you have been selected, then the roll number will appear

Appointments and Vacancies

The total number of vacancies reported by the Government for the Indian Forest Service 2024 cycle stands at 150, divided as follows:

  • General: 61
  • EWS: 15
  • OBC: 40
  • SC: 23
  • ST: 11

Appointments will be made by the Government of India, subject to the availability of vacancies and candidates satisfying all eligibility conditions as per the rules of the examination. Necessary verification of documents and credentials will be undertaken before final postings.

Candidate Support and Further Information

The UPSC has set up a Facilitation Counter at its campus near the Examination Hall Building, where candidates can obtain information or clarification related to their results or appointments. The counter operates on working days between 10:00 AM and 5:00 PM, and queries can also be addressed via phone at 011-23385271 / 23381125.

The final result list is available on the official UPSC website www.upsc.gov.in. The marks of candidates will be published on the website within 15 days of the result announcement.
