UPSC Prelims Exam Postponed Amid Covid 19 Scare

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has postponed the Prelims exam which were going to be held on 27 June 2021. The exam is now scheduled on 10 October.
“Due to the prevailing conditions caused by the Novel Corona Virus (COVID-19), the Union Public Service Commission has deferred the Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination, 2021, which was scheduled to be held on 27th June, 2021. Now, this Examination will be held on 10th October, 2021,” the UPSC has notified.
Every year the UPSC exam is conducted in three phases, starting with Prelims, Mains and the Interview. This exam is held to select civil servants for services like Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Police Service (IPS), Indian Revenue Service (IRS), IFS etc.
