More than 12 IAS officers apply for leaves; dept may take action

Uttar Pradesh cadre Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers are applying for the leave before Christmas and New Year. More than 12 IAS officers sought permission for LTC, EL and foreign tour.

It is learnt that as the number of COVID cases are going down, the officers are planning vacations.  

The department may take action against these officers. It is to be noted that the officers are busy controlling the COVID-19 pandemic since March. Since then, officers from top to bottom levels are busy handling coronavirus. 

The officers used to go on vacation during the summer. But, they could not go due to the pandemic.
