Lucknow: The Uttar Pradesh government has issued an order for the posting of 23 IPS Officer Trainees from the 2023 and 2024 batches as regular Assistant Superintendents of Police (ASP) in districts and Assistant Commissioners of Police (ACP) in commissionerates.
The postings follow the completion of their Phase-II training at the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel National Police Academy (SVP NPA), Hyderabad. The officer trainees are undergoing Phase-II training from June 22 to August 21, 2026, following which they will return to Uttar Pradesh to take up their respective assignments.

The latest order distributes the officer trainees across several districts and commissionerates in Uttar Pradesh.
The postings include assignments in Ayodhya, Varanasi, Aligarh, Basti, Agra, Bulandshahr, Sitapur, Gautam Budh Nagar, Prayagraj, Hardoi, Meerut, Badaun, Firozabad, Lucknow, Unnao, Deoria, Bahraich, Saharanpur, Azamgarh, Kanpur City, Ghaziabad, Jhansi and Barabanki.
The officers will take up their respective responsibilities after completing the prescribed Phase-II training.
Phase-II Training at SVP NPA Hyderabad
The IPS Officer Trainees are undergoing Phase-II training at the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel National Police Academy in Hyderabad from June 22 to August 21, 2026.
The training is part of the professional development process for newly inducted IPS officers before they take up regular field responsibilities.
Following completion of the training, the officers will return to Uttar Pradesh and assume charge at their respective places of posting.
Uttar Pradesh Strengthens Field-Level Police Leadership
The posting of 23 IPS Officer Trainees across districts and commissionerates will add newly trained officers to the state’s field-level police administration.
The assignments will provide the officers with an opportunity to apply their training in operational policing and administration while working under the supervision of senior police officials in their respective districts and commissionerates.
