Lucknow: The Uttar Pradesh government has transferred 13 Provincial Civil Service (PCS) officers as part of an administrative reshuffle across several districts and departments. The orders, issued on Saturday, September 19, 2026, change the responsibilities of officers serving as Additional District Magistrates (ADMs), Sub-Divisional Magistrates (SDMs), Additional Municipal Commissioners and officials in state-level departments and development authorities.
The reshuffle affects administrative postings in Kushinagar, Ayodhya, Kanpur Nagar, Kasganj, Chitrakoot, Saharanpur, Bareilly, Mau and Shahjahanpur, among other locations.
New ADM Postings in Kushinagar, Ayodhya, Kanpur and Kasganj
Several key ADM-level positions have been changed under the latest transfer order.
According to the transfer list:
- Pawan Kumar, Principal Manager, Uttar Pradesh Cooperative Sugar Mills Federation, has been appointed Additional District Magistrate (Finance and Revenue), Kushinagar.
- Dinesh, Chief Revenue Officer, Mau, has been appointed Additional District Magistrate (City), Ayodhya.
- Saurabh Singh, Additional Municipal Commissioner, Mathura Municipal Corporation, has been appointed Additional District Magistrate (City), Kanpur Nagar.
- Alok Kumar Gupta, Additional District Magistrate (City), Kanpur Nagar, has been transferred as Additional District Magistrate (Finance and Revenue), Kasganj.
The changes include new appointments to important administrative positions in Ayodhya, Kanpur Nagar, Kushinagar and Kasganj.
Chitrakoot, Saharanpur and Lucknow Departments See Changes
The transfer order also changes the responsibilities of PCS officers posted in district administration and state directorates.
- Arun Kumar, Additional District Magistrate (Judicial), Chitrakoot, and Deputy Director, Consolidation, has been appointed Joint Director (Administration), Fisheries Directorate, Uttar Pradesh, Lucknow.
- Kanchan, Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Mathura, has been appointed Additional District Magistrate (Judicial), Chitrakoot and Deputy Director, Consolidation.
- Suraj Kumar Yadav, Special Officer on Duty at the Revenue Board, Uttar Pradesh, Lucknow, has been appointed Additional Municipal Commissioner, Saharanpur Municipal Corporation.
- Jitendra Katiyar, Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Pratapgarh, has been appointed Deputy Director (Administration), Ayurveda Directorate, Uttar Pradesh, Lucknow.
Bareilly Development Authority Gets New Secretary
The latest reshuffle also includes changes at the Bareilly Development Authority (BDA).
- Vandita Srivastava, Secretary, Bareilly Development Authority, has been transferred as Deputy Director (Administration), Higher Education Directorate, Prayagraj.
- Himanshu Kumar Gupta, Principal Manager, Uttar Pradesh Cooperative Sugar Mills Federation, has been appointed Secretary, Bareilly Development Authority.
- Nidhi Dodwal, Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Bareilly, has been appointed Principal Manager, Uttar Pradesh Cooperative Sugar Mills Federation.
The changes bring new officers to key administrative positions in the development authority and cooperative sugar mills federation.
Mau and Shahjahanpur Also See New Postings
The transfer order has also changed senior administrative responsibilities in Mau and Shahjahanpur.
- Ajay Kumar Tripathi, Additional Municipal Commissioner, Shahjahanpur Municipal Corporation, has been appointed Chief Revenue Officer, Mau.
- Bhan Singh, Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Bhadohi, has been appointed Additional Municipal Commissioner, Shahjahanpur Municipal Corporation.
