The infrastructure boost includes upgrades to the Purola sports ground, aesthetic enhancements at Karna Maharaj Temple in Deora village and Rudreshwar Mahadev Temple in Naugaon, and expansion of Naugaon Community Health Centre. Significant connectivity projects were announced, including a new bypass linking Purola-Naugaon motor road to Mori Band via Dukana Road, and the designation of the Devjani Ora to Kedarkantha stretch as a tourist zone to harness the region’s pilgrimage and adventure tourism potential.

“This holistic development drive will directly benefit lakhs of residents across Purola and adjoining areas,” CM Dhami stated, emphasizing the projects’ dual focus on improving quality of life and stimulating economic growth through enhanced infrastructure and job creation. The Chief Minister issued strict directives for timely completion, asserting that project delivery remains the state’s top priority.

The event doubled as a platform to highlight the state’s governance achievements, with Dhami crediting Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership for enabling Uttarakhand’s “transformative eleven-year journey” in public welfare. He specifically cited the state’s pioneering implementation of Uniform Civil Code and stringent anti-corruption measures as evidence of its commitment to equitable development.

Local MLA Durgeshwar Lal lauded the administration for addressing long-pending demands, including the approval of the Mori-Jakhol motor road and a new hospital in Ranwai. “From the historic Silkyara tunnel rescue to landmark policies, this leadership has consistently delivered,” Mr. Lal remarked, acknowledging the region’s untapped potential in horticulture and religious tourism.

The development package aligns with the state’s broader strategy to uplift remote Himalayan communities through improved connectivity, healthcare access, and tourism infrastructure, while preserving the area’s cultural heritage. Officials confirmed that all projects will be implemented through a monitored, time-bound framework to ensure tangible benefits reach residents.
