Dehradun: The Uttarakhand government has appointed more than 30,000 young people to various government departments over the past four years, according to Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami. The Chief Minister shared this information through a digital letter addressed to recently selected candidates in different recruitment examinations, highlighting the state’s ongoing large-scale hiring drive.

The announcement comes as part of the government’s continued focus on expanding employment opportunities for youth in government services across Uttarakhand.

Massive Recruitment Drive Across Government Departments

In his message, Chief Minister Dhami said that after forming the government again in 2022, a structured and large-scale recruitment campaign was launched to fill long-pending vacancies in multiple state departments.

He stated that the drive has already resulted in the appointment of over 30,000 candidates, and recruitment efforts are still ongoing. According to him, the objective has been to ensure that essential government positions are filled efficiently while creating stable job opportunities for educated youth.

The Chief Minister emphasized that recruitment in the state is now being conducted strictly on the basis of merit, talent, and hard work. He highlighted that Uttarakhand has strengthened its recruitment framework with strict anti-copying laws and improved transparency in examinations.

According to the CM, these reforms have helped ensure a fair selection process, allowing deserving candidates to secure government jobs without irregularities or malpractice. The government has positioned these measures as key steps toward restoring public trust in recruitment systems.

Call for Honest and Responsible Public Service

In his letter, Dhami congratulated the newly selected employees and urged them to serve the public with honesty, impartiality, and dedication. He reminded them that government service is not just a job but a responsibility toward society.

He encouraged them to uphold human values in their work and remain committed to public welfare while performing their official duties.

Direct Interaction with Selected Candidates

Along with the written message, the Chief Minister also interacted over the phone with several young candidates who have recently been selected for government positions.

During these conversations, he congratulated them personally and encouraged them to contribute actively and enthusiastically to public service. He reiterated the importance of youth participation in strengthening governance and improving administrative efficiency.

The Uttarakhand government’s claim of appointing over 30,000 youth in four years reflects its ongoing focus on employment generation and recruitment reforms.
