In another round of bureaucratic reshuffle, the Uttarakhand government has issued transfer orders for several PCS officers. As per the latest notification, Mr. Gopal Singh Chauhan has been appointed as the new Deputy Collector of Nainital. Prior to this, he was serving as the Chief Manager at a sugar mill. The government has instructed him to assume charge of the new post with immediate effect.

Ajab Prasad Vajpayee Moved to Kichha Sugar Mill
Mr. Ajab Prasad Vajpayee, who was serving as the City Magistrate of Haldwani, has been relieved from his present duties. He has now been posted as the Manager of Kichha Sugar Mill, marking a significant administrative change in the region.
Reshuffle in Sugarcane Department
The state government has also reassigned responsibilities within the Sugarcane Department:
- Mr. P.C. Dumka has been appointed as the Additional Secretary of the Sugarcane Department. He will also hold the additional charge of Managing Director, Sugarcane Development Corporation.
- Mr. Trilok Singh Martolia has been named the new Commissioner of the Sugarcane and Sugar Department.
Background of the Transfers
This recent order follows a major reshuffle last week in which the Uttarakhand government transferred 24 PCS officers. These successive changes indicate the government’s continued focus on streamlining administration and improving governance efficiency across departments.
