Gonda: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is set to inaugurate and lay the foundation stone for 262 development projects worth ₹516 crore in Gonda district, marking a major boost to infrastructure and public welfare in the region.
According to the Chief Minister, these projects are dedicated to public welfare and development, and aim to significantly enhance civic amenities and accelerate regional progress.
CM to Participate in Program at Chakaraut Village
As per district administration, CM Yogi will attend a public programme in Chakaraut village under Colonelganj assembly constituency.
The Chief Minister will also inaugurate exhibitions and participate in the distribution of benefits under various government welfare schemes during his visit.

Development Projects to Strengthen Public Services
The 262 projects include key initiatives focused on:
- Infrastructure development
- Improvement of public facilities
- Expansion of civic amenities
- Welfare scheme implementation
Officials said these projects will play a crucial role in improving connectivity and basic services in the district.

District Magistrate Priyanka Niranjan inspected the programme venue ahead of the visit and reviewed arrangements at various stalls.
She confirmed that:

- Security arrangements are on high alert
- Administrative teams are fully deployed

Focus on Development Since 2017
Highlighting the transformation of Gonda, the Chief Minister stated that before 2017, development was affected by issues such as:
- Caste-based politics
- Nepotism
- Law and order challenges
- Policy stagnation
He said the district is now on a path of structured development under the current government.
Strong Message on Law and Order
CM Yogi Adityanath reiterated that law and order in Uttar Pradesh is now fully under control, warning those attempting to disturb peace.
He said:
- Uttar Pradesh now follows the rule of law
- No one will be allowed to disrupt public events or celebrations
- Offenders will face strict consequences
He added that earlier incidents of unrest during festivals like Durga Puja and idol immersion have now been completely controlled.

The Chief Minister emphasized that both safety and development are key priorities of the government.
He said that today:
- Women feel safer
- Traders operate without fear
- Public events are conducted peacefully
He credited improved governance and strict policing for these changes.
