Maharajganj: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Friday inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of 79 development projects worth over ₹208 crore in Nautanwa, Maharajganj district.
The projects span multiple departments and aim to strengthen infrastructure, public services, and welfare delivery in the region.
On the occasion, beneficiaries were also provided approval letters and toolkits under various government welfare schemes.
Uttar Pradesh Emerging as India’s Growth Engine: CM Yogi
Addressing the public gathering, CM Yogi Adityanath said Uttar Pradesh has now become the “growth engine of India,” crediting the double-engine government for rapid development in the state.
He said development in the state had stalled before 2017 and accused previous governments of encouraging corruption and lawlessness.
He added that the current government is ensuring uninterrupted development “without stopping, wavering, or slowing down.”

Focus on Infrastructure, Health and Education Development
The Chief Minister highlighted major improvements in infrastructure, education, and healthcare under the current government.
He said:
- Roads have improved significantly
- Healthcare services have been strengthened
- Education infrastructure has expanded
He also claimed that Uttar Pradesh now leads the country in expressways, metros, and airports.
Attack on Opposition and Appeal for Fuel Conservation
CM Yogi criticized opposition parties, accusing them of spreading negativity and obstructing development work in the past.
Referring to global energy challenges, he said disruptions in West Asia have affected fuel supply chains and urged citizens to avoid fuel wastage and support national efforts led by the Prime Minister.

Strengthening India-Nepal Relations and Border Development
The Chief Minister also highlighted the cultural and social ties between India and Nepal, describing the relationship as one of shared heritage and strong people-to-people connections.
He said border districts like Maharajganj are important for development due to their strategic location and cross-border ties.
Welfare Initiatives for Local Communities
CM Yogi also highlighted government initiatives for marginalized communities, including the VanTangiya families, stating that they have now been given land ownership and full rights under the current government.
He said the administration is committed to ensuring inclusive development for all sections of society.
