Kushinagar: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will on Tuesday inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of development projects worth crores of rupees in Kushinagar and Gorakhpur districts, along with distributing benefits of various government welfare schemes to eligible beneficiaries.
The Chief Minister shared details of his visit on the social media platform X, highlighting the focus on development, heritage, and public welfare.
278 Projects Worth ₹424 Crore in Kushinagar
In Kushinagar, the Chief Minister will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of 278 development projects worth over ₹424 crore.
During the programme, beneficiaries of various government schemes will also receive:
- Certificates
- Approval letters
- Financial assistance cheques
The initiatives aim to boost infrastructure development and strengthen public welfare delivery in the region.
₹20.35 Crore Chiluatal Tourism Project in Gorakhpur
After Kushinagar, CM Yogi will visit Gorakhpur, where he will inaugurate construction works related to the Chiluatal tourism development project, built at a cost of ₹20.35 crore.
Officials believe the project will:
- Promote tourism in the region
- Improve local infrastructure
- Create new employment opportunities for youth
Focus on Development, Heritage and Public Welfare
In his X post, CM Yogi said that Kushinagar, the sacred place of Lord Buddha’s Mahaparinirvana, and Gorakhpur, the spiritual land of Guru Gorakhnath, represent a strong connection between development, heritage, and public welfare.
He reiterated that the “double-engine government” is committed to balancing cultural heritage with modern development.
Empowerment of Youth and Women Highlighted
Addressing beneficiaries, the Chief Minister said that Uttar Pradesh’s youth are energetic, patriotic, and playing a key role in building a “New Uttar Pradesh”.
He also highlighted the role of women in preserving cultural values and contributing to social development, stating that youth strength and women empowerment are driving the state’s progress.
Improvements in Health and Agriculture Sector
CM Yogi also highlighted key improvements in public services:
- Significant control over diseases like encephalitis, which earlier caused high child mortality
- Strengthening of healthcare infrastructure across the state
- Reforms in sugarcane procurement system, reducing issues like delays in slips and weight manipulation
He said these reforms have improved both healthcare and farmers’ welfare in Uttar Pradesh.
Fazilnagar to Be Renamed ‘Pavagadh’
During the programme, the Chief Minister made a major announcement, stating that the government has approved a proposal to rename Fazilnagar as ‘Pavagadh’.
He said the decision was taken following demands from public representatives and reflects efforts to provide regions with a stronger cultural identity.
Attack on Opposition and Governance Claims
CM Yogi also criticized previous governments, stating that development and major projects like the Ram Temple in Ayodhya became possible only under the current administration.
He added that the government has taken strict action against mafia networks and crime, ensuring improved law and order across the state.

The Chief Minister said the government’s objective is not only development but also ensuring a safe and improved quality of life for citizens.He emphasized that Uttar Pradesh is witnessing continuous growth under the current administration, with increased focus on infrastructure, welfare schemes, and cultural preservation.
