Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath attended the ‘Janata Darshan’ programme on Monday, where he directly interacted with citizens from across the state, listened to their grievances, and assured timely action on their applications. The event focused on addressing public complaints related to revenue, police matters, and welfare services.
Direct Interaction with Citizens and Complaint Redressal
During the Janata Darshan, the Chief Minister met several complainants and personally received their applications. He reviewed multiple cases, especially those related to police and revenue departments, and instructed officials to ensure time-bound resolution of all grievances.
He emphasized that public complaints should not remain pending unnecessarily and that accountability must be fixed if delays occur without valid reasons.
Strict Deadline for Revenue and Police Cases
CM Yogi directed officials to expedite the disposal of long-pending revenue disputes and police-related matters. He specifically instructed that:
- Cases pending for more than six months must be reviewed in detail
- Reasons for delay should be examined carefully
- If no justified reason exists, strict action must be taken against responsible officers
- All cases must be resolved within a fixed timeframe
The Chief Minister reiterated that administrative efficiency and accountability are essential for effective governance.
Focus on Welfare and Government Accountability
The Chief Minister stated that the primary responsibility of the government and administration is to ensure justice and timely assistance for every eligible citizen. He directed officials to:
- Ensure benefits of government schemes reach all deserving individuals without discrimination
- Arrange proper medical support for needy patients
- Handle public grievances with sensitivity and urgency
He added that governance should not only resolve complaints but also improve the quality of life of citizens.
Emotional Interaction with a Student from Hapur
A notable moment during the programme involved a young girl from Hapur who arrived with her guardians and shared her family’s financial difficulties. The Chief Minister asked about her studies, and she mentioned she was in Class 7 and facing challenges in continuing her education.
Assuring her support, CM Yogi told her to focus only on her studies, stating that the government would take care of the rest. He also instructed officials to provide necessary assistance and ensure that her education is not interrupted.
He encouraged the parents to regularly send their children to school, emphasizing that an educated child forms the foundation of a strong nation.
Education and Social Welfare as Government Priorities
Reaffirming the state’s commitment to education, CM Yogi stressed that every child should have uninterrupted access to schooling. He urged parents across the state to prioritize education and ensure regular attendance of their children in schools.
He also directed officials to maintain continuous contact with such families and provide timely support so that financial constraints do not become a barrier to education.
The Janata Darshan programme once again highlighted the Uttar Pradesh government’s focus on direct public engagement, grievance resolution, and welfare delivery. The Chief Minister’s instructions reinforced strict accountability in administration, faster disposal of pending cases, and strong emphasis on education and citizen support systems.
