Deoria, Uttar Pradesh: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of 19 development projects worth ₹655.45 crore in Deoria district, marking a major push for infrastructure, connectivity, and public welfare initiatives in the region.
The event was held at Bhimpur Gaura, where the Chief Minister also distributed certificates to beneficiaries of various government schemes.
Focus on Employment, Farmers, and Women Empowerment
Addressing the public gathering, CM Yogi said the “double engine government” is fully committed to:
- Employment generation for youth
- Welfare of farmers and better benefits from government schemes
- Empowerment and self-reliance of women
He said these initiatives are aimed at accelerating inclusive development across Uttar Pradesh.

Major Connectivity Boost Through Deoria–Kasya Four-Lane Project
A key highlight of the event was the Deoria–Kasya four-lane road project, which the Chief Minister described as a transformative infrastructure initiative.
He announced that the road will:
- Improve North–South connectivity
- Be extended up to Mau
- Connect with the Purvanchal Expressway
- Link further to Varanasi and other major cities
CM Yogi said better road infrastructure will directly support economic growth and job creation.
Development, Medical College, and Skill Training Expansion
The Chief Minister highlighted major progress in Deoria’s social infrastructure, including:
- Establishment and operation of a medical college
- Expansion of OPD services
- Plans for a new district hospital land allocation
- Development of ITI institutions for skill development and employment
He said these projects will strengthen healthcare and job opportunities in the region.

Law and Order and Governance Claims
Yogi Adityanath stated that before 2017, Uttar Pradesh faced issues of crime and lawlessness, but the situation has now changed significantly.
He claimed that the state has improved safety for women, traders, and citizens, and emphasized strict action against crime and mafia networks.
Farmers’ Welfare and Welfare Schemes Highlighted
The Chief Minister said farmers are now receiving fair prices for their produce, including increased sugarcane rates. He also highlighted:
- PM Kisan Samman Nidhi benefits
- Free ration distribution scheme
- Cashless medical treatment for teachers and frontline workers
He added that agriculture and rural development remain key priorities.

Broader Vision: Connectivity, Security, and Cultural Identity
CM Yogi said Uttar Pradesh is progressing in infrastructure, security, and cultural heritage simultaneously. He emphasized major projects like expressways, industrial corridors, and temple-town development including Ayodhya, Kashi, and Mathura.
He also highlighted the state’s growing global identity and improved perception.
The ₹655 crore development package is expected to strengthen Deoria’s infrastructure base, improve connectivity, and boost economic activity while supporting employment and public welfare initiatives across the region.
