Many Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers are seen taking the initiative of inviting school children over a coffee and discussing about their future endevours. The initiative is mostly taken all around the country by the title of Coffee with Collector.
However, this Gujarat cadre IAS officer who is currently serving as the District Collector of Bharuch has taken the same initiative but in a different style. Apart from interacting with school children, the officer invites a batch of 20 eminent citizens of the district who have contributed significantly in their fields every month.
This month 20 Charted Accountants (CA) were invited at the Collector’s residence in Bharuch and a lively & insightful discussion was held. While tweeting about the same the officer writes, “Their suggestions/feedbacks for development of District are discussed & rigorously followed up.”
