Not Going On Central Deputation: Senior Telangana IAS Officer Smita Sabharwal

The officer said that she would execute whatever responsibility the new government deems fit for her

IAS officer Smita Sabharwal has refuted the news doing the rounds of channels and social media that she is planning to go on central deputation. Taking to X, she said this news is totally false and baseless. “I will continue to serve and execute whatever responsibility the government of Telangana deems fit for me,” she wrote in her post.

The senior IAS officer from Telangana cadre last worked at the CMO. Ever since the change in government became imminent, news channels started speculating on her departure to the Centre on deputation.

However, she has laid all such speculations to rest with her latest post on social media platform X, where she called out such news as fake and reiterated that she is proud to be part of the journey of her state.
