Rescued Male Tiger Released into Wilderness After Months in Rehman-Kheda Forest, Mesmerizing Photos Captivate the World

After nearly three months of persistent efforts, a male tiger roaming in and around Rehman-Kheda forest in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, was successfully rescued in the first week of March 2025. The tiger, which had been preying on domestic cattle, had raised concerns among the local population, prompting a large-scale rescue operation.

The Uttar Pradesh Forest Department, in collaboration with WWF-India and the Wildlife Trust of India (WTI), initiated the operation in December 2024. The rescue mission, which lasted nearly three months, required meticulous planning and execution to ensure the safety of both the tiger and the local communities.

Following the rescue, veterinary experts conducted a thorough health examination of the tiger. Once deemed fit, the big cat was safely released into the core division of the Dudhwa Tiger Reserve, allowing it to return to its natural habitat.

Dudhwa Tiger Reserve has shared majestic photos of the tiger being released into the wilderness of Dudhwa Forest. The captivating images have mesmerized netizens. Additionally, a video of the tiger’s release has been shared by some users on social media platforms. The UP Forest Ministry has also posted photos and videos showcasing the situation after the tiger was captured.
