In a proactive move to maintain law and order during the upcoming festive season, Chief Minister Mr. Yogi Adityanath has issued comprehensive directives to police and administrative officials across Uttar Pradesh. Chairing a high-level review meeting at his official residence, Mr. Adityanath emphasized that any form of negligence in public safety, cleanliness, or administrative coordination will invite strict action.

The Chief Minister’s hands-on leadership reflects a strong commitment to public welfare, safety, and infrastructure readiness during peak festivities across India’s most populous state.

Round-the-Clock Surveillance Ordered in Key Public Areas

To bolster security in markets, religious sites, and high-footfall areas, the Chief Minister has mandated the use of CCTV and drone surveillance in all districts. These surveillance tools will help identify suspicious movements and ensure swift response in case of emergencies.

Police patrols have been intensified, and traffic plans are being drawn up locally to manage congestion and prevent bottlenecks. Fire tenders have also been put on high alert.

District Officials Ordered to Stay in the Field

Reinforcing the importance of on-ground leadership, Mr. Adityanath instructed all district-level officers to remain present in the field throughout the festive period. They are expected to lead from the front, oversee daily operations, and immediately address any lapses or complaints received from the public.

He stressed that visible leadership and accountability are essential for efficient law enforcement and community trust.

Zero Tolerance for Anti-Social Elements

CM Yogi sent a strong message to law enforcement agencies to crack down on criminal activities and anti-social behavior. He directed that suspects should be monitored closely and that proactive preventive measures must be taken. Coordination between police and administrative departments is to be maintained at all times.

This tough stance highlights the government’s unwavering focus on ensuring peace and harmony during festivals.

Municipal Bodies Get Clear Mandate on Cleanliness

In addition to law and order, Mr. Adityanath emphasized the need for clean and hygienic surroundings, particularly near temples, markets, and public gathering spaces. Instructions were issued to municipal corporations, municipalities, and nagar panchayats to ensure that sanitation workers are deployed in full force.

Any signs of garbage, open drains, or unhygienic conditions are to be addressed immediately. The Chief Minister underlined that citizens must not face any inconvenience during celebrations and that cleanliness is a shared civic responsibility.

Electrical Safety and Urban Preparedness

The Chief Minister also directed the electricity department to ensure that no live or dangling wires are left exposed in public places. This safety-first approach aims to eliminate fire hazards and prevent electrical mishaps during crowd gatherings.

Such multi-departmental coordination sets the tone for a safe, clean, and well-organized festive season across the state.

UP Leads by Example in Festival Preparedness

From tech-enabled surveillance to civic cleanliness and administrative vigilance, Uttar Pradesh is setting a model for other states in proactive governance. Mr. Yogi Adityanath’s detailed planning highlights the importance of development-oriented policing and a people-first administration in handling large-scale public events.
