Uttarakhand’s 25th Anniversary: PM Modi to Release Stamp, Present State Pride Awards, and Launch Schemes

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Dehradun on November 9th to commemorate the 25th anniversary of Uttarakhand’s statehood. The highlight of the event will be the release of a commemorative postage stamp celebrating the Uttarakhand Silver Jubilee. This milestone marks a quarter-century of the state’s journey since its formation, highlighting its socio-economic and cultural progress.

Unveiling Development Milestones and State Pride Awards

At the main event hosted at the Forest Research Institute (FRI), the Prime Minister will also unveil a specially curated table book documenting Uttarakhand’s development journey over 25 years. In addition, PM Modi will present the Uttarakhand Gaurav Samman (State Pride Awards) to individuals who have made exemplary contributions in various fields, reflecting the state’s growth in governance, education, and social development.

Inauguration of Schemes to Empower Women and Youth

During the event, several schemes aimed at empowering women and youth in Uttarakhand will be inaugurated. The Prime Minister will also interact with young entrepreneurs, community leaders, and women beneficiaries, emphasizing the state’s focus on inclusive development. Exhibitions organized by different government departments will provide a visual journey of Uttarakhand’s achievements, from infrastructure and tourism to education and environmental conservation.

Strategic and Security Preparations for the Event

The Chief Minister of Uttarakhand is personally overseeing the preparations for PM Modi’s visit. For security, the FRI campus will be cordoned off, and the entire area will function as a ground zero zone during the event. Traffic passing through the vicinity will be diverted to ensure smooth operations and safety. PM Modi is expected to remain at the venue for approximately two hours, returning by 2:00 PM.

A Celebration of Uttarakhand’s Progress and Future Aspirations

The Silver Jubilee celebrations underscore not only the state’s achievements in 25 years but also the government’s commitment to fostering development, innovation, and empowerment. By combining recognition of individuals through awards, showcasing government initiatives, and interacting directly with citizens, the event highlights Uttarakhand’s ongoing journey towards holistic and inclusive growth.
