New Delhi: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released an official notification inviting applications for several posts, including Scientist-B, Scientific Officer, Superintending Archaeological Engineer, and Assistant Professor.

This recruitment drive offers a valuable opportunity for candidates aspiring to secure prestigious government positions, with attractive salaries under the 7th Pay Commission.

Total Vacancies and Posts

A total of 5 vacancies have been announced under this recruitment drive. The distribution of posts is as follows:

  • 1 post for Scientist-B
  • 1 post for Scientific Officer
  • 2 posts for Superintending Archaeological Engineer
  • 1 post for Assistant Professor

Eligibility Criteria for Each Post

Scientist-B

  • M.Sc. in Physics with at least 1 year of relevant work experience, or
  • B.E./B.Tech. in Mechanical or Metallurgical Engineering with 2 years of experience

Scientific Officer

  • M.Sc. in Physics or B.E./B.Tech. in Mechanical/Metallurgical Engineering
  • Minimum 1 year of relevant work experience

Superintending Archaeological Engineer

  • B.E./B.Tech. in Civil Engineering
  • Minimum 8 years of relevant work experience

Assistant Professor

  • M.E./M.Tech. in Civil Engineering required

Age Limit and Relaxation

The maximum age limit for candidates is 40 years. However, age relaxation will be provided to candidates belonging to reserved categories such as SC, ST, OBC, and others, as per government norms.

Application Fee Details

  • General category candidates: ₹25
  • SC/ST/PwD candidates and all female applicants: No fee

Salary Structure

Selected candidates will be paid as per the 7th Pay Commission, with an approximate monthly salary ranging from ₹30,000 to ₹1,20,000, depending on the post and level.

Selection Process

The selection process will be conducted in two stages:

  • CRT (Computer-Based Recruitment Test): A written examination to assess aptitude
  • Written Examination and Interview: Candidates who qualify will be called for an interview

The final merit list will be prepared based on performance in the interview.
