Telangana Invites Applications for Free UPSC Coaching for Minorities; Screening Test on June 14

Hyderabad: In a significant initiative aimed at empowering minority students, the Telangana Minorities Study Circle and Career Counselling Centre (TGMSC&CCC) has invited applications for free coaching for the UPSC Civil Services Examination (CSE) 2027.

Operating under the state’s Minorities Welfare Department, the programme is designed to provide quality preparation support to aspirants from minority communities across Telangana.

Applications Open from May 7; Deadline May 31

Online applications for the coaching programme will be accepted starting May 7, with the last date for submission set as May 31.

Interested candidates are required to apply through the official portal within the stipulated timeline to be considered for the selection process.

Screening Test Scheduled for June 14

A screening test will be conducted on June 14 for shortlisted candidates. The examination will take place at Telangana Minorities Residential Schools located at district headquarters across the state.

The test will serve as the basis for final selection into the coaching programme.

Comprehensive Facilities for Aspirants

The Telangana Minorities Study Circle and Career Counselling Centre (TGMSC&CCC) provides a range of facilities to ensure effective preparation. These include:

  • Digitised classrooms
  • Well-equipped library
  • Internet and Wi-Fi connectivity
  • Experienced faculty
  • Accommodation facilities

The initiative aims to create a supportive and resource-rich environment for UPSC aspirants.

Eligibility Criteria and Target Groups

Candidates from both general and professional degree backgrounds are eligible to apply, provided they belong to minority communities. These include:

  • Muslim
  • Christian
  • Sikh
  • Jain
  • Buddhist
  • Parsi

Applicants from all districts of Telangana can apply for the programme.

Income Limit and Merit-Based Selection

Admission to the programme will be strictly merit-based. Additionally, the annual income of the applicant’s parent or guardian must not exceed ₹5 lakh per annum.

Reservation Policy in Seats

The programme also ensures inclusivity through reservation provisions:

  • 33.33% seats reserved for women candidates
  • 5% seats reserved for persons with disabilities
