Srinagar: In a move aimed at strengthening administrative efficiency, the Government of Jammu and Kashmir has ordered the transfer and posting of three Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers with immediate effect in the interest of administration.
The changes have been formalised through Government Order No. 869-JK(GAD) of 2026 dated May 5, 2026.
Pranjal J Hazarika Appointed Additional Secretary in Labour & Employment
Pranjal J Hazarika (IAS, AGMUT: 2021), who was awaiting posting in the General Administration Department, has now been appointed as Additional Secretary to the Government in the Labour and Employment Department.

Vivek Agarwal Posted as ADDC Budgam
Vivek Agarwal (IAS, AGMUT: 2021) has been posted as Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC), Budgam.
In this role, he will be responsible for overseeing developmental initiatives and coordinating implementation of government schemes at the district level.
Vikas Ahlawat Named Additional Deputy Commissioner, Anantnag
Vikas Ahlawat (IAS, AGMUT: 2022) has been appointed as Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC), Anantnag.
The position involves assisting in district administration and ensuring smooth execution of governance and public service delivery in the region.
Immediate Effect in Administrative Interest
The government has stated that the transfers and postings come into effect immediately and have been carried out in the interest of administration.
