Chandigarh: In a minor administrative reshuffle, the Punjab Government has ordered the transfer and posting of two Deputy Commissioners (DCs), bringing changes to the leadership in Sangrur and Faridkot districts.
The move is part of routine administrative adjustments aimed at ensuring effective governance and strengthening district-level administration.
Poonamdeep Kaur Appointed Deputy Commissioner of Sangrur
2013 batch IAS officer Kaur has been appointed as the new Deputy Commissioner of Sangrur. She will take over the responsibilities from Rahul Chaba, who previously held the position.
Her appointment is expected to bring continuity in administrative functions while reinforcing governance mechanisms in the district.
Rahul Chaba Transferred to Faridkot
2017 batch IAS officer Chaba, who was serving as the Deputy Commissioner of Sangrur, has been transferred and posted as the new Deputy Commissioner of Faridkot.
With this move, he will now oversee administrative affairs in Faridkot district, bringing his experience from Sangrur to his new role.
