The supplementary budget includes ₹4,164.32 crore under the capital expenditure head and ₹3,679.86 crore under the revenue expenditure head.

The additional resources are intended to support development works undertaken by municipal bodies and Panchayati Raj institutions.

Key provisions include:

  • ₹721 crore: Support for urban and rural local bodies.
  • ₹500 crore: Infrastructure development under the Special Assistance Scheme.

  • ₹122 crore: Gairsain Water Supply Dam Project.

The supplementary provisions cover both existing commitments and additional requirements for development programmes during the current financial year.

₹290 Crore for Kumbh Preparations in Haridwar

The supplementary budget provides approximately ₹290 crore for infrastructure and preparations associated with the upcoming Divya Kumbh Mela in Haridwar in 2027.

The allocation is intended to support facilities and infrastructure required for the religious gathering.

A further ₹30 crore has been earmarked for the Haridwar-Ganga Corridor project.

The budget also includes provisions for works associated with the Nanda Raj Jat Yatra, a major religious pilgrimage in Uttarakhand.

These allocations form part of the government’s additional spending plans for religious events and related infrastructure.

Healthcare and Medical Education Get Additional Funding

Healthcare infrastructure and access to medical services are among the other areas covered by the supplementary budget.

  • ₹125 crore: Golden Card Scheme for government employees.

Dhami Reiterates Vision of Developed Uttarakhand by 2047

Addressing the press conference at Gairsain, Dhami said the state government’s objective was to transform Uttarakhand into a developed, prosperous and self-reliant state by 2047.

He said the government was working to accelerate development activities, strengthen basic infrastructure and ensure that the benefits of public welfare schemes reached the last person in society.

The Chief Minister also referred to Uttarakhand’s progress since its formation nearly 26 years ago, crediting the contribution of the people and those involved in the statehood movement.

He highlighted the importance of development across sectors such as agriculture, healthcare, education, employment, women’s empowerment and infrastructure.

The supplementary budget, he said, was designed to provide additional financial provisions for ongoing schemes while supporting new initiatives and development requirements.

Supplementary Budget Adds to Uttarakhand’s Annual Outlay

The ₹7,844.18 crore supplementary budget supplements the state’s original financial plan for 2026–27.

Its provisions cover agriculture, local bodies, infrastructure, healthcare, education, energy, disaster-related works and preparations for major religious events.

The government has presented the additional allocations as part of its effort to advance development programmes and public welfare measures while pursuing its long-term vision for Uttarakhand.

The supplementary demands remain subject to the legislative process governing their approval and implementation.
