New Delhi: NMDC Limited has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the SRM Foundation to support the education of 18 tribal girls from Bastar Division, Chhattisgarh, under the NMDC Balika Shiksha Yojana.
Under the initiative, the selected students will pursue the General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) course at SRM College of Nursing, Chennai. The programme aims to provide the students with access to professional education and practical healthcare skills, creating pathways to employment and career opportunities in the nursing sector.
NMDC to Sponsor GNM Education for 18 Tribal Girls
The collaboration will enable 18 selected tribal girls from Bastar Division to pursue professional nursing education in Chennai.
Under the NMDC Balika Shiksha Yojana, the students will undertake the GNM course at SRM College of Nursing, where they will receive academic education as well as practical training in healthcare.
