New Delhi: REC Limited reaffirmed its commitment towards strengthening last-mile healthcare access through its CSR arm, REC Foundation, by signing a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) with the District Health Society (DHS), Neemuch, Madhya Pradesh, on May 22, 2026.
The initiative aims to improve primary healthcare infrastructure and essential medical services for underserved and vulnerable communities across Neemuch district.
₹1.99 Crore Financial Assistance for Healthcare Infrastructure
Under the agreement, REC Foundation has committed financial assistance of ₹1.99 crore for the procurement of medical equipment to strengthen healthcare facilities at:
- Civil Hospital Manasa
- Civil Hospital Jawad
- Civil Hospital Rampura
- Other government health facilities in Neemuch district
Officials said the initiative is expected to significantly improve the availability and quality of essential healthcare services and ensure timely medical assistance to people in remote and underserved areas.
Senior Officials Attend MoA Signing Ceremony
The MoA signing ceremony was attended by senior officials from the health department and REC Foundation.
Key dignitaries present included:
- Dinesh Prashad, Chief Medical and Health Officer (CMHO), Neemuch
- Arun Kumar Tyagi, Executive Director (CSR), REC
- Bhupesh Chandolia, Head of Department (CSR), REC
Other officials from DHS Neemuch and REC Foundation were also present during the signing ceremony.
REC Focuses on Last-Mile Healthcare Access
REC Foundation stated that the partnership reflects its continued focus on strengthening public healthcare infrastructure and expanding access to quality healthcare services through targeted CSR interventions.
The organisation said such initiatives are aimed at supporting inclusive development and improving healthcare accessibility for communities with limited medical facilities.
