Andhra Pradesh: REC Limited has been awarded a Gold Medal for its outstanding contribution to rural healthcare under Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives.

The honour was presented by the Hon’ble Governor of Andhra Pradesh during the World Red Cross Day celebrations held on May 7, 2026 at Lok Bhavan, organised by the Indian Red Cross Society.

CSR Project Focused on Rural Healthcare Access

The award recognises REC Limited’s initiative to strengthen healthcare access in underserved regions through the deployment of mobile medical units.

Under the project, the company has:

  • Procured and deployed 7 mobile medical units
  • Covered 7 districts of Andhra Pradesh
  • Committed to maintaining services for 3 years

The initiative aims to bring essential healthcare services directly to remote and last-mile communities.
