Indian Masterminds Stories

India celebrated its 77th Independence Day, marking 76 years of freedom, on 15th August, 2023. As the world’s largest democracy, the great nation paid its tribute to India’s freedom fighters and leaders who fought for freedom and sacrificed their lives.

The theme for this year’s celebration was, ‘Nation First, Always First’, an integral part of the broader ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ celebration. The whole nation also participated in ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign, which encourages the public to participate in the flag-hoisting ceremony on August 15, our Independence Day.

After India’s independence in the midnight of 14-15 August, the country’s first Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru hoisted the national flag at the Red Fort.
