CBI’s Special Director Ajay Bhatnagar will get a farewell gathering from top agency officials on March 1 when they meet here for their quarterly conference. The quarterly conference that was supposed to happen in December kept on getting postponed due to various reasons. It was believed among the agency officials that now the next quarterly conference will take place at the end of first quarter of 2024 but suddenly it was announced that confrence will take place on March 1 and on same day a formal farewell will be given to 1989 batch IPS official Ajay Bhatnagar since all the agency top officials from across the country will be in the national capital for the conference.
Rumour has it that the quarterly conference has been timed as such to ensure a memorable farewell to Bhatnagar who was till now number two in the agency and now appointed director general of investigation in the National Human Rights Commission. That’s called killing two birds with one stone!
