A total of forty-six IAS officers of the 2004 batch have been empanelled as Joint Secretary in Government of India. Out of those, four are from Gujarat cadre.
Manisha Chandra (commissioner and secretary, women and child development department), Rajender Kumar (advisor, executive director, World Bank), Rajesh Manjhu (commissioner of transport, Gandhinagar), and Rakesh Shankar (secretary, general administration department) are the four officers who have been empanelled from Gujarat.
