A V Ranganath, IPS, who has served as the Joint Commissioner of Hyderabad Police (Traffic), has been appointed as the new Commissioner of Warangal Police Commissionerate. An order regarding the same was issued on November 30 by the Director General of Police, Telangana.
Mr. Ranganath will be taking over IPS officer Dr. Tarun Joshi, who has been transferred to the DGP office in Telangana.
Senior IPS officer Ranganath, who took charge as the city traffic chief in December 2021, was working as the Superintendent of Police in Nalgonda district prior to this.
A lot of traffic safety and solution oriented programs have been initiated by officer Ranganath, , such as the recent one being the Operation ROPE (Removal of Obstructive Parking and Encroachments) aimed at reducing illegal parking and encroachments of sideways so as to reduce the traffic on roads.
