Lucknow: In a significant move aimed at enhancing the operational efficiency of the Uttar Pradesh Police Department, 32 IPS officers were transferred late on Monday night and into Tuesday morning. The reshuffle, executed under the instructions of the state government, was initiated by the Director General of Police (DGP) headquarters.

Here’s a detailed look at the key appointments and transfers:

Key Transfers:

  1. 2011 batch IPS officer Hemant Kutiyal has been appointed as the Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG), Special Zone Security in Lucknow, and additionally will serve as Deputy Inspector General of Police, SSF, also based in Lucknow. Previously, he held the charge of Additional Charge Prison Administration and Correctional Services at the DGP Headquarters, Lucknow.
  2. 2011 batch IPS officer Shalini will now serve as Deputy Inspector General of Police/Commander, 41st Battalion PAC, Ghaziabad. She has been transferred to the role of Deputy Inspector General of Police, PAC Section, in Moradabad.
  3. Swapnil Mamgai, formerly posted as Deputy Inspector General of Police, 49th Battalion PAC in Gautam Buddha Nagar, has been assigned to the position of Deputy Inspector General of Police, PAC Section, in Meerut.
  4. D. Pradeep Kumar will be shifting from his role as Deputy Inspector General of Police, 48th Battalion PAC Sonbhadra, to take on the role of Deputy Inspector General of Police/Additional Secretary at the UP Police Recruitment and Promotion Board, Lucknow.
  5. Arun Kumar Srivastava has been transferred from his position as Deputy Inspector General of Police/Commander, 10th Battalion PAC Barabanki, to the role of Deputy Inspector General of Police, PAC Section, in Ayodhya.
  6. Suryakant Tripathi, previously the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Police Commissionerate in Varanasi, has been reassigned to the role of Deputy Inspector General of Police, Fire Services Headquarters, in Lucknow.
  7. Vikas Kumar Vaidya, previously posted as Deputy Inspector General of Police/Commander, 39th Battalion PAC Mirzapur, will now serve as the Deputy Inspector General of Police, Establishment, at the DGP Headquarters in Lucknow.
  8. Rajesh Kumar Saxena has been transferred from Deputy Inspector General of Police/Commandant, 25th Battalion PAC Raebareli, to the role of Deputy Inspector General of Police, PTS Sultanpur.
  9. Sunita Singh will take on the role of Deputy Inspector General of Police, PAC Headquarters in Lucknow, transitioning from her previous post as Deputy Inspector General of Police/Commandant, 37th Battalion PAC Kanpur.
  10. Kamla Prasad Yadav has been reassigned from the position of Deputy Inspector General of Police, Police Headquarters, UP, Lucknow, to Deputy Inspector General of Police, BRNISAN, in Lucknow.
  11. Tej Swaroop Singh has been moved from the post of Deputy Commissioner of Police, Police Commissionerate, Lucknow, to the role of Deputy Inspector General of Police, Personnel, at the DGP Headquarters, Lucknow.
  12. Hridesh Kumar, formerly Deputy Commissioner of Police, Police Commissionerate, Varanasi, has been transferred to Deputy Inspector General of Police, EOW Headquarters in Lucknow.

Senior Officers Appointed:

  • Dr. Preetinder Singh, who had been on the waiting list, has been appointed as Inspector General of Police, PAC, Central Zone, in Lucknow.
  • Aparna Kumar has been given the responsibility of Inspector General of Police, Human Rights, UP, Lucknow, after serving as Inspector General of Police, PAC, Central Zone.
  • Ashok Kumar has been appointed as the Superintendent of Police, Regional Intelligence, Gorakhpur, from his previous role as Deputy Commissioner of Police/Additional Commissioner of Police, Gautam Buddha Nagar.
