The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the extension of central deputation tenure of Gurjeet Singh Dhillon, a 2002-batch Indian Ordnance Factory Service (IOFS) officer, as Director in the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA).
According to a memorandum issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on May 13, Dhillon will continue in his role for one more year beyond March 25, 2025 — i.e., until March 25, 2026 — or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

Dhillon has been on central deputation under the Central Staffing Scheme since March 26, 2018. His extended tenure reflects the government’s continued confidence in his administrative acumen and the need for his expertise in urban governance.
