Bengaluru: Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) has entered into a strategic partnership with RRP Electronics Limited and RRP Defense Limited, part of the RRP Group, to jointly explore business opportunities and technological innovations in the domains of Semiconductors, Electro-Optics (EO), Unmanned Systems, and other advanced Defence technologies.
Transforming Defence and Strategic Capabilities
The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aims to leverage BEL’s expertise in developing mission-critical Defence systems, RRP Electronics Ltd’s semiconductor manufacturing capabilities, and RRP Defense Ltd’s competencies in EO systems and Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) platforms.
Together, the companies will work on high-precision EO systems, next-generation unmanned solutions, and advanced semiconductor devices, targeting both Defence and strategic applications.
BEL and the RRP Group will jointly identify, design, and develop a wide range of technologies, enhancing India’s indigenous capabilities in advanced Defence systems. The partnership is expected to play a transformational role in delivering high-quality solutions, pioneering technological innovations, and strengthening India’s strategic and export potential.
Unlocking Export Opportunities
Aligned with the Ministry of Defence’s export promotion policies, the collaboration is expected to unlock new opportunities for Defence exports. By combining BEL’s established international presence with RRP Group’s technical expertise, the partnership aims to contribute to India’s position as a global player in high-end Defence technology markets.
Key Officials and Signing Ceremony
The MoU was exchanged between Ms. Niti Pandit, General Manager (SP), BEL, and Mr. Rajendra Chodankar, Founder & Chairman of the RRP Group, in the presence of key officials including Mr. Manoj Jain, CMD, BEL; Mr. Nandha Kumar TD, GM (PDIC); Mrs. Rekha Shastry, GM (Unmanned Systems); and Mr. Dhirendra N Pandey, GM (MC).
