Ahmedabad: Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel inaugurated the newly constructed Matrushri Maniben Mavjibhai Swaroopchand Vora VBC Bhavan of the Kutch Vagad Be Chovisi Sthanakvasi Jain Visa Shrimali Samaj (VBC Samaj) in Ahmedabad.
After the inauguration, the Chief Minister took a virtual tour of the newly developed facility and received information about its modern infrastructure and facilities. He appreciated the community’s efforts towards social service and welfare initiatives.
Vejalpur MLA Amit Thaker was also present at the inauguration ceremony.
VBC Samaj Donates ₹1.11 Lakh for Girls’ Education Scheme
Reaffirming its commitment to social responsibility, the VBC Samaj presented a cheque of ₹1,11,111 to Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel.
The contribution will be utilised for the Mukhyamantri Kanya Kelavani Nidhi Yojana, a Gujarat Government initiative focused on supporting girls’ education and improving educational opportunities across the state.

Addressing the gathering, Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel praised the VBC community for its unity, dedication, and continuous contribution towards social welfare.

Highlighting the importance of education, CM Patel said that education is the foundation of every society’s progress and assured that the State Government will continue supporting initiatives aimed at social upliftment.

Extending greetings on Ashadhi Bij and Kutchi New Year, Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel urged citizens to move forward with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of:

- Sabka Vikas
- Sabka Vishwas
- Sabka Prayas
He said that the Prime Minister has prioritised key areas such as education, healthcare, and national security.
Talking about environmental conservation, CM Patel highlighted the Mission LiFE initiative and appealed to citizens to adopt sustainable practices by conserving:
- Water
- Electricity
- Fuel
He also mentioned the launch of hydrogen train services in the country and expressed confidence that India will achieve the goal of becoming a Viksit Bharat by 2047.
Narmada Water Transformed Kutch Region: CM Patel
Speaking about regional development, Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel said that the severe water scarcity once associated with the Vagad region has now become a thing of the past.
He said that the availability of Narmada water in even the remotest areas of Kutch has brought significant transformation and improved the quality of life for people in the region.
VBC Bhavan to Support Students and Community Development
Vejalpur MLA Amit Thaker praised the VBC community’s generosity and commitment towards social initiatives.
He said that Ahmedabad is emerging as a global education hub, especially with the growth of Artificial Intelligence and technology-driven learning. The newly constructed VBC Bhavan in the Jodhpur area will provide valuable support to students coming from outside Ahmedabad.
Located near ISRO and major spiritual institutions, the facility is expected to encourage students to pursue higher ambitions and achieve success at national and global levels.

He highlighted the social service activities undertaken by the VBC Samaj and explained the purpose behind constructing the new building and its expected benefits for the community.
