Patna: Bihar’s Mega Job Fair-2026 is creating fresh employment opportunities for young job seekers, with 3,487 candidates selected on the third day of the five-day recruitment drive. Around 9,000 youths participated in the fair at Gyan Bhawan, Patna.
Organised by the Bihar Skill Development Mission under the Youth, Employment and Skill Development Department, the fair has brought employers and job seekers together at a single venue, allowing candidates from across the state to directly interact with companies.
Over 100 Companies Offer Employment Opportunities
More than 100 companies are participating in the Mega Job Fair and offering jobs across multiple sectors. Major companies taking part include SBI Life, Bharti Airtel, Reliance Retail, Tata Croma, Tata Motors, Utkarsh Small Finance Bank, Vision India, Johnson Lift, Manpower Group, Mass HR Solution, NIIT Foundation, Reeshav Automobile, Satya MicroCapital and Annapurna Finance.
The participating companies are offering opportunities in sectors such as banking, financial services and insurance, retail, automobile and telecom. Candidates are being considered according to their educational qualifications, skills and areas of interest.
Complete Recruitment Process Under One Roof
The fair has simplified the job-search process by bringing registration, screening, qualification verification, interviews and selection together at Gyan Bhawan.
Instead of visiting individual company offices, candidates can meet recruiters from multiple sectors at the same venue. This gives job seekers an opportunity to understand available positions and apply for jobs that match their qualifications and skills.
The arrangement also allows participating companies to directly assess the talent available among Bihar’s youth.

Youths Arrive From Across Bihar
The fair is attracting candidates from Patna as well as different districts and remote parts of Bihar. The department has promoted the event widely to reach more young people looking for employment.
Candidates can register through the DET portal and QR code to participate in the recruitment process. The digital registration facility is intended to make participation easier for job seekers coming from different parts of the state.
Job Fair Continues on August 22 and 23
The employment drive will continue at Gyan Bhawan on August 22 and 23, giving additional candidates an opportunity to participate.
Young job seekers can register and appear for interviews with companies operating in their preferred sectors. With more employers expected to engage with candidates during the remaining days, the fair continues to provide opportunities for those seeking their first job or looking to enter new sectors.
The Mega Job Fair is part of the state’s wider effort to connect young people with employment and self-employment opportunities. By bringing companies directly to a common recruitment platform, the initiative is helping reduce the gap between job seekers and employers.
The strong participation and selection numbers on the third day also underline the demand for organised employment platforms in Bihar. As the fair enters its final two days, more young people are expected to use the opportunity to connect with employers and explore career options.
