Patna: The preliminary written examination for the recruitment of Assistant Sub Inspector (Operator) posts in the Bihar Police Radio (Wireless) Department was conducted successfully across the state on Wednesday.
The examination was organised by the Bihar Police Subordinate Services Commission (BPSSC) for the recruitment of 462 ASI (Operator) vacancies. The test was conducted in a single shift at 189 examination centres across 11 districts of Bihar.
According to the commission, the examination was completed peacefully at all centres while maintaining a strict error-free and malpractice-free environment.
45% Candidates Appeared for Bihar Police ASI Exam
The Bihar Police Subordinate Services Commission informed that around 45 per cent of candidates appeared for the preliminary written examination.
The examination was conducted under strict monitoring to ensure transparency and fairness for all candidates appearing for the recruitment process.
One Candidate Arrested with Bluetooth Device in Chhapra
While the examination remained peaceful at most centres, one case of alleged malpractice was reported from Chhapra.
A candidate appearing at the Rajendra Collegiate School examination centre in Chhapra was arrested after being found with a Bluetooth device.
The commission stated that necessary action was taken in the matter.
Advanced Security Measures Implemented at Examination Centres
To prevent cheating and maintain the integrity of the examination, the commission implemented several security measures at all examination centres.
These arrangements included:
- Mobile jammers
- CCTV surveillance
- Hotline monitoring system
- Photography and videography of candidates at entry gates
- Biometric fingerprint verification
- Other advanced security arrangements
The commission used modern technology-based monitoring systems to prevent any form of unfair practices during the examination.

The Bihar Police Subordinate Services Commission stated that extensive arrangements were made to conduct the ASI (Operator) preliminary examination in a transparent and disciplined manner.
