Bihar Govt Launches Initiative to Provide Safe and Legal Overseas Employment for Youth 

Department of Youth & Skill Development Focuses on Skill Training, Language Proficiency, and Secure Migration to Boost Global Employment Opportunities

Patna: The Bihar government has taken a significant step toward facilitating safe, legal, and transparent overseas employment opportunities for its youth by organizing a comprehensive consultation workshop at the Niyojan Bhawan. The initiative focused on skill development, language proficiency, and secure migration practices.

Workshop Focus: Safe and Legal Overseas Employment

The consultation workshop, held on Wednesday, was organized by the Department of Youth, Employment, and Skill Development in collaboration with various employer agencies. The session was chaired by Dr. Kaushal Kishore, Secretary of the Department, and attended by key officials including Shyam Prakash Shukla, Deputy Director of Directorate Planning & Training, and Manish Shankar, Mission Director of Bihar Skill Development Mission.

The primary objective of the workshop was to ensure that Bihar’s youth have access to quality overseas employment opportunities while adhering to international standards and legal procedures.

Key Discussions: Skills, Language, and Documentation

During the workshop, participants discussed several key areas, including:

  • Strengthening document verification processes for safe migration

Officials also emphasized the importance of pre-consultation guidance, employer accountability, and youth protection measures to minimize risks associated with overseas employment.

Government’s Role in Facilitating Global Jobs

Dr. Kaushal Kishore highlighted the government’s commitment to preparing youth for the international job market. He stated that the department will coordinate with employer agencies to ensure transparent, legal, and safe overseas employment pathways.

He added that youth would be provided with:

  • Skill and technical training
  • Language proficiency programs
  • Documentation assistance
  • Proper guidance to navigate the global employment ecosystem

These measures aim to equip Bihar’s youth to showcase their talent on international platforms while minimizing risks associated with unauthorized or illegal overseas jobs.
