Patna: Bihar’s Industries Department has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with AIM Global Foundation to promote a dedicated food processing park in the state and attract investment from the UAE and the wider Gulf region.

The MoU was exchanged on Tuesday at the AIM (Annual Investment Meeting) Congress 2026 in Dubai in the presence of Bihar Industries Minister Shreyasi Singh. Industries Department Secretary Kundan Kumar and AIM Global Foundation President H.E. Dawood Al-Shezawi signed the agreement. Industries Department Director Mukul Kumar Gupta was also present.

Focus on Food Processing and Gulf Investment

Under the partnership, AIM Global Foundation and Bihar’s Industries Department will work towards developing an integrated agri-food and food processing cluster in Bihar.

The initiative will seek investments from companies, institutions and investors in the UAE and the wider Gulf region. It aims to build on Bihar’s agricultural strengths and position the state as a sourcing and processing base for food products serving Gulf supply chains.

The proposed food processing park could provide a platform for businesses to establish processing-related operations while creating stronger links between Bihar’s agricultural sector and international markets.

Partnership to Support Bihar’s Investment Push

The MoU is part of Bihar’s broader efforts to attract international investment and strengthen its industrial ecosystem.

The state government sees food processing as an important area for converting its agricultural potential into greater value addition. A dedicated cluster could bring together sourcing, processing and related activities, helping businesses connect agricultural production with larger domestic and international markets.

The partnership with AIM Global Foundation also gives Bihar an opportunity to engage more closely with investors from the UAE and other Gulf countries.

Shreyasi Singh Highlights Global Supply Chain Opportunities

Industries Minister Shreyasi Singh described the partnership as a significant step in Bihar’s journey towards becoming a preferred investment destination.

She said the proposed food processing park, supported by UAE investment, would help farmers and industries connect with global supply chains.

The minister also said the initiative reflects Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary’s vision of promoting industrial growth across the state.

Structured Engagement with UAE Investors

Industries Department Secretary Kundan Kumar said the MoU establishes a foundation for structured engagement between Bihar and UAE-based investors in the food processing sector.

He said the department would work closely with AIM Global Foundation to identify concrete investment opportunities and take the partnership forward ahead of Rising Bihar 2026.

The focus will now be on developing specific opportunities and translating the agreement into investments and projects in Bihar.

AIM Congress Provides Global Platform

The MoU exchange took place on the sidelines of the AIM Congress 2026 in Dubai. The event provided Bihar with an international platform to showcase its investment potential and engage with investors from the UAE and the wider Gulf region.

For Bihar, the partnership is significant as the state seeks to strengthen its position as an investment destination and build an industrial ecosystem around its agricultural base.

If the proposed food processing cluster attracts substantial investment, it could support greater value addition to agricultural produce while creating opportunities for food processing businesses and strengthening Bihar’s links with global food markets.
