Indian Forest Service Officer, Dr. Sonali Ghosh who belongs to Assam-Meghalaya Cadre from the 2000 batch, takes charge as the Director of Delhi Zoo. She earlier worked as a DIG at Central Zoo Authority and served as a Director in one of the government flagship programs named Swacch Bharat Mission.
Dr. Ghosh a wildlife fanatic and has been working in the field for 23 years.
At the same time, IFS Ramesh Pandey is given the charge of Inspector General Forest under the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change.
