On April 5, 2023, the National Academy of Direct Taxes (NADT) in Nagpur hosted the Valediction Ceremony for the 75th Batch of 47 IRS officers and 02 Royal Bhutan Service officials. The Chief Guest was Shri Nitin Gupta, Hon’ble Chairman, Central Board of Direct Taxes. Senior officers from several Central and State Government organizations, as well as senior officers from the Income Tax Department in Nagpur, were present at the occasion.
The Chief Guest congratulated the Officer Trainees for completing their course successfully. He acknowledged the function of the Indian Revenue Service and the importance of the Income Tax Department in the formulation of government policy. Officer trainees took an oath that included discipline, honesty, humility, ethics, and a feeling of devotion as public servants. He has outlined the department’s vision, which includes ideals such as transparency, equitable taxes, and voluntary compliance.
Team NADT led by Mr. Sanjay Puri, Principal Directorate General, NADT, expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the dignitaries for taking their time out of their busy schedule and for their valuable guidance to the young Officer Trainees of the 75th batch of IRS.
