Raipur: The Chhattisgarh government is set to launch a 24×7 Chief Minister Helpline number to strengthen public grievance redressal and make administration more accountable and citizen-centric.

Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai announced that the helpline will allow citizens to register their complaints, issues, and suggestions anytime, ensuring direct communication between the public and the government system.

Time-Bound Resolution of Public Complaints

The upcoming CM Helpline system will work on a fixed timeline mechanism, where every complaint will have a defined deadline for resolution.

Key features of the system include:

  • 24×7 availability for citizens
  • Time-bound disposal of complaints
  • Monitoring of pending grievances
  • Direct accountability of concerned departments

The Chief Minister made it clear that if officials fail to resolve complaints within the stipulated time, strict action will be taken against them.

Strong Push for Administrative Accountability

The government aims to reduce bureaucratic delays and ensure that citizens do not have to repeatedly visit government offices for their issues.

Officials believe the helpline will:

  • Improve administrative efficiency
  • Increase transparency in governance
  • Strengthen public trust in government systems

The initiative is expected to be particularly beneficial for people in rural and remote areas, where access to government offices is often limited.

Digital Platform for Easy Access to Governance

The CM Helpline will function as a digital and phone-based grievance system, enabling citizens from any part of the state to directly connect with authorities.

This move is seen as a step toward e-governance and digital inclusion, making public services more accessible and responsive.

Focus on Transparency and Good Governance

Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai emphasized that the initiative reflects the government’s commitment to transparent and accountable governance.

He said the objective is to ensure that every citizen’s voice reaches the administration and receives timely attention without unnecessary delays.

CM Comments on Political Issues

During his interaction with the media, the Chief Minister also commented on other political matters, including women’s reservation and national politics. He stated that there are ongoing concerns regarding women’s representation and governance issues, which are being addressed through legislative discussions.

He also remarked on political developments in other states, indicating shifting public sentiment and evolving political dynamics.

A Major Step Towards Citizen-Centric Governance

Overall, the 24×7 CM Helpline initiative is being seen as a significant governance reform in Chhattisgarh. The system is expected to:

  • Speed up grievance resolution
  • Strengthen administrative accountability
  • Improve public service delivery
  • Enhance trust between citizens and the government

With this move, the state aims to build a more responsive and efficient governance model focused on public welfare.
