Raipur: Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai, during his official visit to South Korea, invited two prominent Korean companies — ModernTech Corp., a leader in green mobility solutions, and UNECORAIL, a top railway maintenance company — to invest and collaborate in Chhattisgarh’s clean energy and transport infrastructure sectors.
The initiative is part of the state’s broader strategy to become a national hub for sustainable technology, logistics modernization, and employment generation.
EV Charging Manufacturing Hub Proposed with ModernTech Corp.
Chief Minister Sai extended a formal invitation to ModernTech Corp. to establish an advanced EV charging equipment manufacturing unit in Chhattisgarh. He noted that the venture aligns perfectly with the state’s Industrial Policy 2024–30, which emphasizes green technology, carbon reduction, and clean energy infrastructure.
“Setting up an EV charging unit in Chhattisgarh will not only support our clean energy goals but also create a robust, modern transport network for future generations,” CM Sai said.
He added that the collaboration would foster local manufacturing, provide thousands of jobs, and promote green skill development among the youth. The project is also expected to attract component suppliers, boosting the ancillary manufacturing ecosystem in the state.
Government Assures Full Investor Support
During discussions, CM Sai assured ModernTech Corp. of streamlined processes, ease of doing business, and transparent governance. He emphasized the government’s commitment to providing logistics support, infrastructure, and policy incentives for green technology investments.
Officials highlighted that the project could generate thousands of direct and indirect jobs, turning Chhattisgarh into an emerging green energy hub.
Rail Sector Upgrade with UNECORAIL Partnership
In a separate high-level meeting, CM Sai also held discussions with Mr. Dong Pil Park, CEO of UNECORAIL, one of South Korea’s premier railway maintenance and technology firms.
The talks focused on:
- Railway infrastructure development
- Technology transfer for rail maintenance
- Local manufacturing partnerships
CM Sai stressed the urgent need for advanced railway solutions in Chhattisgarh, given the state’s growing industrial base, freight movement, and public transport needs.
“UNECORAIL’s expertise will help modernize our railway systems, improve safety, and strengthen the logistics backbone of the state,” he noted.
Chhattisgarh’s Vision: Green, Sustainable, Future-Ready
The Chief Minister reiterated the state’s commitment to sustainable development, where clean energy, green transport, and logistics efficiency form the core of policy-making.
“We invite global investors to become partners in Chhattisgarh’s transformation and join us in scripting a growth story rooted in sustainability and innovation,” he said.
